After doing more research, I decided to do 3 interviews in total, and to look at the idea of online anonymity further in depth, I decided that I was going to interview a Psychology professional in order to go further into why online anonymity is positive for some people, but negative for others. I did this to get a different angle for my story, so that it wouldn't just be about negative online media, I wanted to really get some psychological reasoning about why people feel the need to hide behind anonymous profiles.
As I said earlier, I decided to do 3 interviews. These interviewees include:
Interviewee 1- Anna Rowe, from Kent. Anna was a victim of being Catfished online and embarked on a 14 month relationship with a man who was not who he said he was
Interviewee 2- Natalie Reeves Billing, who was a victim of being anonymously trolled online for 10 years from different accounts, who would just delete and reopen new accounts everytime she raised an issue with it.
Interviewee 3- Dr Christopher Hand, a Psychology lecturer at Glasgow University, to find out the reasons why people feel the need to remain behind their screens.
